May we make you aware that Coll is a remote location without many of the facilities and luxuries of modern life (and there-in lies much of the atmosphere and fascination). Problems may arise which cannot be instantly fixed, and there is not always anyone to help you as and when you might wish. However, the islanders are a self-sufficient bunch who generally will do their best to help, and can often improvise in the most surprising of circumstances.

For somewhere rather nice to stay on the mainland for the first and last days of your holiday, we recommend the following personal favourites. www.taychregganhotel.co.uk and the Falls of Lora Hotel at Connell, www.s-h-systems.co.uk/hotels/fallsof.html |

| For pleasant budget accommodation close to the ferry, we suggest the guest house Maridon House | ||
